Welcome to the 12th annual edition of Unisong, your passport to a musical planet. Since 1997, we've done our very best to make this a fun, songwriter friendly contest that does things in our own creative way. It's kind of like writing a good song. And then re-writing it more every year. But we’re proud to say we're still going strong after all this time. A lot of things may have changed in the music industry and the world around us since the beginning, but we keep offering the same kind of personal attention you can't get with any other contest year after year. That's because we come from the same place as you do. We're working songwriters & artists who also happen to do this. No corporate committees or sub-divisions of sub-divisions here

We invite you to check out the website and see what we're up to this time around.16 wide ranging categories meant to cover whatever genre or style of music, lyrics, and songs you’re writing, including the return of the Performance (Artist & Song) category. We still have the Category Selection Option where we’ll decide which category fits your song best, if you can’t decide for yourself. And we’ve got the same unique international writing and performing retreat Grand Prize, but this time we’re also offering the choice of an alternative prize package if you’d like some extra cash and gear, instead of the travel. We’ve also added some new and exciting sponsors for this edition to broaden our overall prizes, while creating more opportunities overall to be seen and heard. But we’re also continuing on with popular features from past editions like our “Winner of the Month” contest-within-the contest, the People’s Choice Award voted online by the public, Unisong/Disc Makers Winners compilation CD, Vol. #4, and our valuable Critique Option (in two versions for this edition, Standard and Custom).
